We are encouraged by the mass movement of people that are getting back to basic simple chores and tasks. We have become so fast paced and busy that a few chickens in our backyard might do us all a little good. Cars, traffic, computers, cubicles, cell phones, texting, television, radio and just non-stop influx of communication get to be overwhelming when you think about it. It’s the benefit and curse of technology. We believe people are longing for a little peace and quiet. There is something remarkable about building with your hands. It is very rewarding to see the fruits of your labor. Building a chicken coop, for example, brings the satisfaction of seeing the final product. Raising chickens brings that daily connect with nature and we think helps generate an important balance that is much needed in a world completely immersed in technology.
